The ANCSA Hall of Fame recognizes and preserves the legacy of individuals whose vision, leadership, sacrifice, and service helped shape the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act and advance Alaska Native economic self-determination.
A lasting recognition
The ANCSA Hall of Fame honors individuals whose contributions have had a lasting impact on the development, implementation, and enduring legacy of the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA).
More than an annual recognition, the Hall of Fame is an effort to preserve the stories, experiences, and lessons of Alaska Native leaders so they can be shared with and inform future generations.
The ANCSA Hall of Fame is an initiative of Alaska Native Unity.
Carrying stories forward
The Hall of Fame will preserve the history and individual stories behind ANCSA through inductee profiles, oral histories, archival materials, educational resources, and opportunities for intergenerational learning.
Alaska Native Unity is working to develop partnerships that can help carry these stories and lessons forward through education, historical preservation, and leadership development.
Inaugural ANCSA Hall of Fame
December 18, 2026 | Anchorage, Alaska
The inaugural ANCSA Hall of Fame class will be honored on December 18, 2026, as part of ANCSA@55 and the 2026 Alaska Native Business Summit.
The inaugural induction will recognize individuals whose leadership, vision, sacrifice, and service helped shape ANCSA and its enduring impact on Alaska Native people, communities, and economic self-determination.
Recognizing lasting impact
ANCSA Hall of Fame inductees are recognized for the significance and lasting impact of their contributions to ANCSA, Alaska Native economic advancement, leadership, and service. Recognition may be made during an individual's lifetime or posthumously.
